LAS VEGAS (Hollywood Reporter) - Rapper/reality TV star Flavor Flav and filmmaker Deon Taylor have signed a deal to turn their BET movie "Nite Tales" into an anthology television series.

"Nite Tales," described as "30-minute tales of irony and twists," originated with the BET movie that aired on Halloween and is set for DVD release February 3 by BET, Paramount and Deon Taylor Enterprises.

The Flav-hosted "Tales" marks the first project to come out of TriStar Media, a new joint venture between syndicator Trifecta Entertainment & Media, headed by CEO Hank Cohen, and Dennis Ray's Star Media, which sells advertising time on syndicated series, specializing in the urban marketplace.

The partners will present "Tales," Trifecta's first scripted co-production, at the National Association of Television Program Executives' 2009 Market & Conference, which kicks off Monday (January 26) in Las Vegas.

Taylor describes the new show as "Tales From the Crypt" meets "The Twilight Zone," with Flav playing a role similar to "Crypt's" Cryptkeeper, as he did in the BET movie. The show will have a Web presence, including an online contest Taylor is planning in which fans can name Flav's character.

Taylor said he is targeting a young audience that might not know "Crypt" or "Zone" well, for whom "Tales" would be a new concept.

The plan is for "Tales" to premiere this year as a weekly cable series.

Taylor also is planning a "Tales" movie every Halloween, including one called "Terminated," written with Thomas H. Fenton ("Saw IV"), that is intended for theatrical release this year.

Watches: Flavor Flav Adds a Rolex Watch to the Hanging Clock Rap and Television Star Flavor Flav puts a Rolex With Bling on His Wrist to Complement

CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwire - January 13, 2009) - Watches: In a recent entry in the Rolex Forums, Chris in Melbourne reported on his encounter with Flavor Flav in Australia. Taking a break from his hit television show "Flavor of Love" where women compete to be the next Mrs. Flavor Flav, the extravagant rapper who wears a series of huge clocks around his neck was touring with Public Enemy. Known for contributing the hit song "Fight the Power" to Spike Lee's iconic film "Do The Right Thing," Public Enemy was the cornerstone of politically conscious rap in the 1990s. The band became so famous that action figures of Flavor Flav and Chuck D were sold. Chris in Melbourne clearly understood that Flavor Flav needed to complement the clock hanging from his neck with a Rolex luxury watch on his wrist.

This article can be viewed in its entirety at the MJ Rolex Watch Blog: http://www.melrosejewelers.com/rolex-watch-blog/flavor-flav-needs-to-add-a-rolex-to-the-hanging-clock/ or in the U.K. at http://www.melrosejewelers.co.uk/rolex-watch-blog/flavor-flav-needs-to-add-a-rolex-to-the-hanging-clock/

In his description of the encounter, Chris wrote: "While waiting (at the Melbourne airport), I noticed a group of young men (who obviously weren't from these parts). Well, I've never seen so much 'bling' on a bunch of blokes in all my life! I noticed one guy wearing a clock (running an hour fast) around his neck. It was the US band Public Enemy… most of the guys in the group were wearing some pretty flashy watches including some that appeared almost totally covered in 'ice'. The pick of the bunch for me however, was an 18 Ct Yellow Gold Rolex Daytona on a honey colored strap that really caught my eye."

In Yahoo Answers, when asked why does Flavor Flav wear that clock, the winning answer was, "He said that he wears it because time is the most important element in our lives so he wears it to represent that belief." Another popular answer was, "The man is reportedly worth 90 million dollars. You'd think he would buy a Rolex!" On the respected music blog site Grits And Porgies, the blogger provided a more philosophical perspective by commenting: "To the untrained eye Flavor Flav may have looked like your typical rapper, sweat suit, sunglasses, gold teeth, and sneakers. But instead of sporting Rolex watches and jewelry, Flavor Flav decided it would be more fashionable to wear giant clocks around his neck." Nevertheless, even if Flavor Flav keeps the clock hanging, he still needs the precision and quality of a Rolex on his wrist. So what kind of Rolex should the rapper acquire?

On the Melrose Jewelers site, there is a Men's Rolex Day Date Super Presidential watch with just the perfect mix of philosophical precision and beautiful bling to meet the needs of Flavor Flav. In 18k yellow gold, the luxury watch has a custom champagne diamond dial with eight round and two baguette cut diamonds. The Rolex Super President is a name given to the Men's Rolex Day Date Presidential with both "Pave" diamond band and diamond lugs in addition to the classic diamond dial and diamond bezel. New "Super" Presidential models as issued by the Rolex factory are very rare. Wearing such a watch is nothing less than remarkable, making the luxury model a perfect fit for a remarkable man like Flavor Flav. After all, such a talented performer needs not only to have a clock around his neck, but also a Rolex Day Date Super Presidential watch on his wrist.

Police Report: Charles Barkley in a Hurry for Sex

Charles Barkley told an officer following his arrest on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol that he was in a rush because he was on his way pick up a "hot" girl for sex, according to a police report obtained by the Smoking Gun.

When Barkley was arrested in Scottsdale, Ariz., early Wednesday after running a stop sign, the former NBA forward allegedly told the officer: "You want to know the truth? I was gonna drive around the corner and get a b--- j--," according to the notes in the incident report.

"I am disappointed that I put myself in that situation," Barkley said Wednesday in a statement to The Associated Press. "The Scottsdale police were fantastic. Now it is a legal matter and I will not comment further until it is resolved."

The 45-year-old Barkley, now an NBA television commentator, failed standard field sobriety tests after the officer smelled alcohol on him, and he was arrested.

After Barkley was processed, he was cited and released. His car was impounded and he left in a cab, Gilbert police Lt. Eric Shuhandler said. Police described Barkley as cooperative, adding it is customary to release people after an arrest on suspicion of DUI.

"There was nothing unusual about how he was taken into custody," Shuhandler said. "He was treated exactly like we treat anybody else."

According to the incident report, Barkley was "cordial and respectful" with officers during processing, telling them about the alleged rendezvous with a woman who was a passenger in the NBA star's vehicle. He told the officer at the police station that one week prior she had done the act and according to the officer "it was the best one he had ever had in his life."

He also promised to get a civilian employee at the department's name tattooed "on my ass" if they could help get him out of the DUI charge.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.
